Putting on my glasses make a difference
I see better with my glasses on.
But sometimes I get fed up of wearing glasses.
I know you are thinking or saying out loud, “then get yourself contact lenses!”
Well I don’t really like that either.
I take my glasses off sometimes and I get frustrated that I am unable to read without it!
The glasses do make a difference.
There is nothing like being able to see clearly. I really am truly grateful for my eyesight.
The truth is however, I do need the glasses especially for reading and for near vision; they do make a huge difference.
Even though I sometimes don’t like wearing them; I have come to accept the importance of having them.
I realise that to read I need to keep the glasses on.
In life, there are some things you must keep on, as they make a difference.
Without which you can’t make progress or achieve your goals.
There are some things that would make a difference so you need to keep them on:
The 5 Ds to keep on are Diligence, Discipline, Determination, Dedication and Denial/Delayed gratification.
Diligence and working hard is absolutely necessary.
There is no short cut to achievement and success.
The saying ‘No pain, no gain’ drives this message home.
Anything good does not come easy.
There is a price to pay and if you want to make something of your life, take on diligence.
It’s takes a whole lot of discipline to be consistently committed to good habits.
It takes discipline to wake up very early each morning to work out.
It takes discipline to fast and pray for spiritual growth.
It takes discipline to save for financial growth.
It takes discipline to consistently carry out good habits to achieve something better.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
You can do anything you set your mind to do.
With a strong desire and determination, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. With Determination, you will overcome obstacles, barriers, roadblocks, hindrances and challenges.
If you want something and you are determined, you will do whatever needs to be done.
You must dedicate yourself – time, energy, effort and money if need be to what you believe in.
It’s important to dedicate and commit to your goals.
Devote yourself to your growth and development.
Delayed gratification is something to take on i.e. to deny yourself now of pleasures for a better and greater outcome in the long-term.
Do the work now and reward yourself later.
The 3 Ds to take off – Doubt, Discouragement and Distractions.
As you put on the 5 Ds, there are other Ds that you must be aware of and avoid.
These Ds should come off:
Discouragement, Doubt and Distractions.
Don’t tolerate it.
Don’t accept it.
You must ‘take on or put on’ the 5Ds: Desire it, Decide that you will achieve, be Dedicated, be Determined, be Diligent and exercise Denial.
