Never go for seconds

Never go for seconds
Motivation

I need to do something about my weight

My weight appears to be gradually creeping up and I do really blame the lockdown.

I’m not excited about it; and I know I must take further immediate action to address this issue.

The problem is certainly linked to spending more time at home.

But I can do something about it and recently, this week actuality I just had to take some measures to discipline myself about snacking and to resit the temptation of eating more!

Spending more time at home during lockdown especially with my workspace being 8 feet from the kitchen is not helpful in keeping to my usual healthy eating habits.

I decided to take mindful eating much more seriously.
I start off the day with a warm glass of water with lemon and consistently drink fluids – mainly water and tea throughout the day.

My meals now consist of very small healthy choice portions of food especially the evening meal.

Yesterday, was the 4th day, Thursday 14 May 2020, I was tempted to go for ‘seconds’, during my meal. I had been pleasantly surprised by Charmaine who treated me to my favourite Indian meal.

I’m so glad to report that I didn’t and for that I pat myself on the back. Well done Ayoola and remember, never go for seconds!

My Dos and Don’ts

A – Avoid going for seconds – a second helping of food.

B – Beware of snacking in-between meals.

C – Continue with my daily walking, exercises/workout.

D – Drink more and more water.

E – Eat decent sized portions of food.

F – Freshly squeezed orange or fruit juice daily – Thanks to my amazing juicer.

G – Go for more healthy food choices.

Hoping for a positive outcome

I’m sure this can only result in a positive outcome, even if it doesn’t I will still feel pleased for my efforts and choices.
