The TFJ Community starts 2022 strong.
A summary of TFJ’s 21 day fasting and praying.
Starting 2022 strong. There’s no better way to start the new year than spending time with God in fasting and praying, and in January 2022, the TFJ Community went all out leaving no stone unturned.
The call by TFJ Ministry for a 21 day fasting and praying period from 03 January to 23 January 2022 came as no surprise. I expected nothing less from TFJ Community who places prayer at the forefront of their ministry and who believes in the power of prayer.
The motto for the daily prayers – ‘Our posture and attitude is persistent prayer’ and ‘we are possessing all that God has ordered and ordained for us’.
Day 1 of starting 2022 strong
The 21 days of fasting and praying started on Monday 03 January 2022. I made up my mind and I was so determined to participate in the fasting and praying. It was a much needed and necessary decision for me to make. Monday 03 January 2022 was a bank holiday so I had no excuse for not joining the fast and the 6am daily zoom prayers. I am so glad I did as starting 2022 strong is exactly what I need.
Day 1 started with a power-packed session. People turned out in huge numbers on zoom. The theme of the Year was emphasised – ‘The Year of the Word and Prayer’. The prayer session was led by Reverend Victoria Lawrence (RVL), who encouraged attendees to approach the 21 day fasting and praying with Thanking, Expectancy and Anticipation (TEA), believing that we will enjoy everything God has already ordered and ordained for us in the name of Jesus.
The prayer focus for day 1 and through the 1st week was on ‘My heart’. It is an important one because everything we do flows from the heart – proverbs 4:23 -27.
During the 1st week, we committed our hearts to God. We prayed against hardened heart, we prayed against every disease of the heart and heart related conditions. There was revelations, declarations and visions; and from day 2, we heard testimonies of victory, healing and blessings. We prayed for a servant heart, we came with a grateful heart and prayed for a grateful heart. RVL shared with us the 7 things a grateful heart can do. We also prayed for a loving heart during week 1.
For me, that was one of the most fulfilling weeks I have ever had. After the prayer at 6am, I spent time meditating on the scriptures that was shared during the prayer session. That was my pattern for the next 7 days and beyond. Have my Heart Lord, it belongs to You anyway.
Alongside the 21 day fasting and praying, there was also 7 days of prayers with Prayer Raid Ministry, the monthly TFJ Special Needs Prayers – every 1st Thursday of the month, Leadervest prayers Mondays and Fridays evening.
By Week 2, from day 8 on 10 January 2022, things were progressing wonderfully well to the glory of God. The 6am prayers always started with praise and worship – a video clip is shared which we sing along to, then followed by prayers, prayer requests and testimonies.
I loved the declarations that was shared on the WhatsApp group platform by RVL after the morning prayer.
The focus for week 2 was on the ‘Holy Spirit’. We prayed for empowerment by the Holy Spirit, we prayed using the scriptures – John 16: 7 – 8 and 13. We prayed in the Holy Spirit. We declared God’s words and prayed John 3:34. We prayed for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Week 3 started from day 15 on 17 January 2022, with focus on Faith – our currency on earth. We prayed with Hebrews 11.
By Faith, we declared our intentions for 2022. I love the Faith Boosting Scriptures that was shared on day 16. During this week, we also prayed Jude 1:24-25. We declared that our faith in God will not faint.
On Day 21, the fasting and praying was rounded up with a collaborative all day powerful session in partnership with ‘Oasis of Love’ on ‘Contend with the Faith’. A number of speakers addressed attendees and delivered powerful messages about prayers and led prayers on different aspects of life. https://youtu.be/ZyToykV_FLA

We are Ready
The consistency and commitment of both leaders and members of TFJ was outstanding. I remember Isaiah 40:31
“But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint”.
It was such a refreshing time and I feel super ready for the year ahead. This has been such an awesome 21 day journey of growing and glowing.
For the TFJ Community, it can only be upward and forward, deeper and bigger for members who have their heart set on God, the backing of the Holy Spirit and an unshakable faith!
All Glory be to God. The testimonies from many are rolling in.
My take home point – Nothing automatically changes, we enforce the change; and prayer is the force, the energy and the key!
