I am excited about this new year, and having reviewed my goals and results for last year I have discovered what I will do differently in 2021.
The New Year brings an Opportunity for a fresh start
The year 2020 was great and I have summarised lessons learnt in my previous blog post.
No matter what one has achieved, there is always room for improvement.
Last year I had set personal, professional, spiritual and business goals. I also wrote an action plan of how to achieve them. Mid-year I was not as consistent as I would have loved to be with my personal and spiritual goals. I got slightly distracted doing less important activities/ tasks and did not maintain a regular routine throughout the year.
This year I have made a decision to be intentional by focusing on activities that matter most!
In order to achieve this, I believe that consolidating all my activities (personal, spiritual, work/ career, and business) into a single planner; writing them all down with a daily view will work better for me.
One singular thing I will change
The use of a daily planner rather than a diary (used previously) would help me plan properly, make progress, be more productive and increase my performance.
I have decided to use a daily planner to schedule my priorities as this will get me more organised, ensuring the important activities get done which will help me make every moment count. The planner will be prepared on a weekly basis for the week ahead. See my week 1 schedule below.
It was a challenge finding the right tool/planner as there are so many out there, but I finally came across a very simple one (week planner app) that I am happy with. This is what I will do differently in 2021.
What would you do differently this new year?
If you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results. If you are serious about seeing different results and achieving better outcome, then you need to change what you do or how you do it.
There is no better time than now, the beginning of a new year to make the necessary changes.
Live intentionally and do things on purpose!
Each new year brings an opportunity for a fresh start and each day presents an opportunity for a new beginning.
